General Labor - Outdoor Work - Scrap Metal Recycling

Joe Krentzman & Son is the leading scrap metal recycler in Central Pennsylvania. We are looking for team oriented candidates who are looking to join our growing business.

This is a full-time, non-seasonal position. Lots of steady hours available every week to the right candidates.

Requirements of the General Laborer position include:

• Safety. We operate a business that focuses on safety every second of every day. You must be able to work safely, and be interested in being an active part of company wide safety for yourself and for the health and safety of your teammates.
• Reliable transportation to work EVERY day. This is a full time job. Your job security demands full time attendance. Period.
• Must have a Team-Oriented, Positive Attitude, and must be willing to communicate respectfully with other Teammates. We are a team here, and we work together.
• Must be willing to learn new skills. Must be flexible enough to perform multiple different tasks in any given day. We do lots of different things here, many of which you've probably never done before. Chances are you won't end up doing the same thing over and over - its a good thing!
• Experience with torch-cutting, heavy equipment operation, automotive work, welding, repair and maintenance of trucks or heavy equipment, forklift operation, and truck driving are a plus - but not required. If you have any of these skills, please tell us about them.
• Work is performed outdoors. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Outdoor work in our part of the state is an advantage most of the time. Sometimes it isn't. We work in all conditions.
• Must be able to handle a physical workday that includes standing for long periods of time, working with hands all day, walking, bending, crouching, lifting 40 lbs. You will be dirty, greasy, sweaty and tired at the end of every day. You'll also be going home as healthy and safe as when you arrived.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
