What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jewelry Polisher position at John C Nordt Company?
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the John C. Nordt manufacturing team as a Jewelry Polisher. In this role you will polish rings or other precious metal jewelry products producing a high quality finish. As Jewelry Polisher you will use your high level of attention to detail to remove all machining lines and any other surface blemishes to produce a beautiful product of the highest quality.
Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities include:
- Polish all surfaces as required by the shop order
- Verify that the trade stamp is clear and legible
- Verify that the color, count and style matches shop order
- Follow manufacturing practices for maintaining karat integrity by separating metals
- Keep polishing tools separated by function
- Work on shop orders by due date
Qualifications include:
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to learn to polish jewelry through Company training
- Specific visual abilities include close vision, color, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to sit or stand throughout an 8-hour shift
- Manual dexterity with ability to use hands and fingers to handle rings, tools and supplies
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds multiple times throughout shift
- High school diploma or GED
