Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to join our team. As a CNA at Andrus on Hudson, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to our residents and patients. Your assistance and support will contribute to their overall well-being and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to residents and patients under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Take and record vital signs.
Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices as needed.
Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure coordinated and effective care.
Document resident information accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
Respond to resident needs and emergencies in a timely and compassionate manner.
Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere for residents, promoting their autonomy and independence.
Maintain a clean and organized environment for residents, ensuring safety and hygiene.
Participate in team meetings, training programs, and continuous education to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
* Valid CNA certification in New York.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in caring for people.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and as part of a team.
* Physical stamina and ability to lift and assist with resident’s mobility.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
* Previous experience is a plus but not required
