Mechanical Inspector

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLI ITIES:

• Technician will calibrate and clean equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Fixtures, Pressure Gauges and Torque Wrenches.
• Experienced in mechanical tool calibrations
• Work with outside vendors to schedule calibrations.
• Update and maintain calibration recall database.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
• Experience using Calipers, Micrometers, CMM's, Optical Comparators and Surface Gages
• Knowledge of Geometric Gage Tolerance.
• Ability to interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
• Perform Chemical Analysis on MDL special processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

o Familiar with ANSI/NCSL 2540 - Calibration Lab & Measuring & Test Equipment.

• Familiar using Microsoft Excel and Word programs
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to obtain secret clearance.
• Minimum 3 years of calibration / inspection experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining mechanical calibration equipment.
• Proven ability to write procedures.
• Excellent follow-up.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
