What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Designer / Project Manager position at John Lively & Associates?

If you are an emerging professional and can execute on custom high-end residential new construction we are looking for you. You must be an enthusiastic, driven, and collaborative team player willing to work hard and love what you do.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to shift focus on multiple projects, yet maintain a balanced workflow and meet deadlines
  • Ability to self-manage to meet current project commitments
  • Ability to listen effectively and possess a wiliness to learn
  • Communicate daily with project manager
  • Support the team in creation of residential building designs by producing accurate construction drawings, including, schematic design, design development and construction documents
  • Experience producing construction documents for residential construction
  • Familiarity with current residential building codes
  • Ability to collaborate with interior and lighting designers, a/v contractors, developers, general contractors, clients, and vendors
  • This is an in person, in office position

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preferred degree or certification in architecture or equivalent past work experience
  • Preferred 2 years of residential wood frame construction or relevant work experience
  • License in Architecture a plus but not required

SKILLS:

  • Proficient at Revit required
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Preferred drafting experience
  • Preferred Residential / High-end custom home experience
  • Preferred experience with client interaction

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
