Education: Typically requires an associate/technical degree in a maintenance technology, a related certification, or equivalent.
Experience: Typically requires 5 years of manufacturing experience.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Performs advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on plant and production equipment issues using schematics and technical drawings.
- Performs preventative and required maintenance on production and plant equipment. Repairs equipment, systems, conveyors and/or other systems at the facility.
- Documents maintenance and preventive services performed, and actions taken to fix issues.
- Works with pneumatics, electrical, hydraulic and/or air compressor systems (varies by business unit).
- Provides production and physical plant maintenance support.
- Identifies and implements ideas for process improvements, safety, quality and waste management.
- Inspects alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
- May act as a resource to less experience technicians to assist with troubleshooting issues and understanding policies/procedures.
- Promotes company safety policies, workmanship standards and operational procedures among team members while displaying strong quality consciousness at all times.
- May performs other various duties such as assembly, operating equipment, machining and welding.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- High mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Strong skills in and experience with pneumatics, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and air compressor systems.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office.
- Strong industrial skills with PLC experience.
- Skills in and ability to inspect alarm systems (fire, protection).
- Ability to perform diverse tasks while requiring minimal supervision.
- Ability to attain forklift driving certification (requirement may vary by business unit)
