Joie is a small business in Seattle, WA that serves Vietnamese inspired drinks. We are opening in April 2024 and are hoping to find outgoing Baristas that love Vietnamese coffee. We are LGBTQ welcoming, women-owned, and asian-owned.
Our goal when opening this coffee shop is to give the Ballard community a local Vietnamese coffee shop that is delicious. We hope our coffee is something that brings joy to everyone. We can't wait to see you all soon!
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and crafting delicious coffee beverages. If you have a passion for coffee and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
- Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment with precision and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Sales skills to upsell products and increase revenue
- Proficient in cash handling procedures
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating change
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures
- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.68 - $18.66 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
