The ER Staff Nurse coordinates and participates in the total nursing care of those clients presenting with emergent exacerbation of chronic conditions, sudden onset acute illness, minor injury or trauma. The ER staff nurse participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership to ancillary staff and others in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.
