Estate Planning Attorney Responsibilities:

- Consult with prospective clients and lead them through the firm's proprietary Estate Planning Process.

- Provide expert legal advice and deliver superior Estate Planning and Asset Protection work products.

- Research, design, and create complex and customized estate plans.

- Ability to draft both basic and sophisticated estate planning documents including those which incorporate estate and income tax planning including irrevocable trusts

- Experience catering to and addressing the planning needs of federally taxable estates

- Consult with potential clients to ascertain their needs and decide on the next steps

- Engage in matter management to ensure all cases move forward in a timely manner

Estate Planning Attorney Requirements:

- Prior estate law experience

- Admitted to practice law in North Carolina

- Excellent academic credentials, creative analytical and problem-solving skills

- Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills, including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with little to no supervision

- Team player, committed to working with colleagues and clients

- Strong understanding of North Carolina estate law statutes and case law

- Ability to research and analyze legal issues

- Proficient legal writing skills
