The position of Marketing Database & Technology Assistant provides support to the firm-wide Marketing Technology and Business Development teams by maintaining the integrity of all data stored and managed in the firm’s databases, including the website, e-communications distribution, and assisting with special marketing technology projects as needed. Initial and on-the-job training will be provided for this position.
Key Job Duties:
InterAction (CRM)
- Focuses on continuous data integrity improvement to ensure contacts are current in the CRM system.
- Conducts research to verify data in CRM and acquire missing firm contact information.
- Reviews and completes data change tickets consisting of updates to existing firm contacts and companies in the database.
- Collaborates with marketing & client development team members in developing mailing lists (i.e. events, alerts, announcements) and keeps activities in the CRM up-to-date.
- Works closely with the Database & Marketing Technology Coordinator to produce regular analytics reporting for the Business Development liaisons.
- Helps develop and implement CRM best practices.
- Assists with other InterAction projects as needed.
Foundation (Experience Management)
- Coordinates with the Business Development team to ensure client matter descriptions and experience data are organized and maintained according to the firm’s style-defined standards.
- Serves as a central data entry resource for the Business Development team and other end-users, confirms new and updated descriptions are accurately and efficiently updated in the system, and communicates effectively with Business Development team members to create and update experience lists for use in pitches and marketing materials.
- Completes matter and client profiles in Foundation, including extracting experience narratives from Chambers and Legal 500 submissions
- Assists with maintenance, updates, new feature tests, and developments of templates.
- Assists with other Foundation projects as needed.
Website and E-communications
- Assists with maintaining content on the firm’s website by updating attorney bios, firm practice/industry descriptions, news, events, publications, and other firm information as needed.
- Assists with setting up, updating, and scheduling e-communications using the firm’s marketing automation platform, keeping the Marketing Technology stack and spreadsheet current, and other Marketing Technology projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior experience in a role in which data integrity was a priority.
- Experience working with a CRM system.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
Ideal Qualifications
- College degree.
- Law firm work experience.
- 3 years of experience working with a CRM system.
- High degree of attention to detail and ability to analyze data.
Physical Requirements
85% of the time is spent in the sitting position with 15% of the time requiring the employee to be mobile around the office or standing
