Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health status.
- Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Assist clients with mobility, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Document patient observations and report any significant changes to healthcare professionals.
Skills
- First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience in group homes or assisted living settings is advantageous.
- Strong patient observation skills to monitor health conditions effectively.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care techniques.
- Familiarity with home health practices and hospice care principles.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Proficient in cleaning tasks and maintaining a hygienic environment for clients.
- Experience in direct support roles or nursing is beneficial.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Capability for heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
