What are the responsibilities and job description for the Justice System Advocate position at Journey Center for Safety and Healing?
The Justice System Advocate provides to support victims of domestic violence and related crimes with crisis intervention, court support, and community referrals.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency assistance through assessment and referrals
- Orient and provide support to victims of the criminal justice system; provide court support to victims
- Initiate case records and provide documentation of case activities in a timely manner
- Act as an advocate and provide support to victims and families
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in human services field or equivalent work experience required
- Must have and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license, maintain appropriate insurance coverage and driving record
- Experience working with victims of domestic violence preferred
- Social work license preferred
Schedule:
- Work hours are 40 hours/week Monday - Friday; some evenings required
- Hybrid work schedule available
Hiring bonus:
- Available after completion of probationary period
- $1500 for full time
