Job summary:
A Registered Behavior Technician supports and implements a client care plan created by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. Registered Behavior Technicians provide ABA interventions that encourage socially acceptable replacement behaviors so clients can build and improve upon their communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. What this looks like in practice varies greatly, since behavioral therapy is so specific to an individual patient’s needs.
We are looking for individuals to provide one-on-one behavioral treatment to children with autism. Our services are in-home and at school. Center based services will be available pending clinic grand opening in early 2024. We provide services to children in Stanislaus and San Joaquin Counties.
What would you be doing?
- Provide ABA Therapy for children in home and community settings to assist them with improving behaviors and acquiring new skills
- Maintain a positive, collaborative attitude focused on the success of clients and dedication to the culture of Joyful Impact ABA
- You will be fully trained and supported by an experienced team of clinical supervisors, managers, and mentors who are invested in your personal and professional growth
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current RBT certification or 40-hour training certificate with eligibility for RBT assessment administration (feel free to reach out to Joyful Impact for 40-hour training recommendations)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred (Psychology, Education, ABA, Behavioral Health, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, etc.)
- Tuberculosis clearance
- Provide record of immunization to Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Chicken Pox (Varicella Zoster) & Whooping Cough (Pertussis)
- Must be fluent in English (spoken/written)
- Department of Justice/Livescan fingerprint clearance
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have proof of auto insurance (name must be on policy)
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR required)
Compensation:
We believe in fair and competitive compensation. As such, we provide benefits outside of your hourly rate to give you the support and energy you need to bring your best self to your role.
- $18.50 - $23.50 per hour based on experience, education, and certifications

Physical Requirements: Physical demands: Under normal circumstances the employee will need to have the physical capacity to continuously use his/her hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation. The employee may be required to do the following:
- Must be able to maintain and assume a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing)
- Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time
- Must have manual dexterity in order to perform specific electronic functions for session notes/data collection.
- Lift/carry 40 lbs
- Push / Pull up to 25 lbs
