Responsibilities
Collecting, verifying, and managing patients’ dental insurance benefits and claimsPerforming related administrative tasks such as processing forms, reports, and emailsCoordinating with dental office staff to schedule meetings, appointments, and proceduresAnalyzing insurance policies to determine coverage for specific services and proceduresCommunicating with patients about their appointments, treatments plans, and billing processesEstimating costs for patients based on their insurance coveragePreparing and processing claims for insurance companiesInterpreting medical information from doctor’s notes to patients’ recordsEnsuring patients fully understand their health insurance benefits and financial responsibilitiesEntering patients’ and insurance data into the appropriate management systemGenerating and maintaining reports of all insurance activitiesFollowing up on non-paid insurance claims, late payments, and overdue accountsProcessing and verifying insurance payments and refundsQualifications
