Job Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the facility including cleaning and sanitizing living areas and common spaces, bathrooms and kitchen, and performing laundry tasks. This role requires attention to equipment and chemical safety, and strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and participants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean facility including lobbies, corridors, stairways, offices, meeting rooms, staff lounge, eating areas, and kitchen
- Daily cleaning of all facility restrooms, including restocking of paper products and hand soap as needed
- Daily inspection and cleaning of the kitchen, wiping down counters as needed
- Assist in building security, locking all doors and windows, and shutting off interior lights when working the late shift
- Maintain inventory of supplies, informing management when orders need to be placed
- Ensures that properties always meet standards to pass Federal, State and Local inspections
- Coordinates utilities checks, fire drills and other checks/repairs as needed or required to maintain facility compliance with Federal, State and Local inspections
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of housekeeping experience
- Recent Physical and TB Report within the past year
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- Previous housekeeping experience in a residential or institutional setting is preferred.
Certifications Required
- BLS/CPR Certification
