Job Summary: Manages projects by following up on equipment and process for mass production, sometimes involving going to customers and tool shops. Answers customer questions on delivery of parts and implementation of process by e-mail, phone, or on-site visit. Leads customer requested update visits to review program status and documentation.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
- New Model Program Management
- Lead Program Management activity for newly awarded programs
- New supplier development
- Coordinate all program communication between all departments necessary within JRM (domestically and internationally)
- New Model customer documentation
- Support all JRM facilities (OH, TN and Mexico)
- Coordinate, attend, and contribute to New Model Kick-off meetings
- Coordinate and communicate all APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activity for programs
- Asset tag attachment and paperwork submission
- Follow up on equipment and process readiness for mass production
- Customer contact (program updates, feasibility studies, PP quality issues, document reviews, event build status, etc.)
- Determine “Situation Action Plan” for current and newly awarded programs
- Accept pre-production orders and communicate internally
- Determine packaging requirements from the customer
- Customer/supplier visits
- Communicate tooling PO's to Accounting
- Plant tours for existing/potential customers
- Lead time negotiation with customers/suppliers
- Enter all manufactured and purchased parts into internal ERP system
Qualifications
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Business/ Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong presentation skills
- Mechanical background
- Organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective communicator
- Capability to work in a fast paced environment
- Able to travel domestically and internationally
Physical demands and work environment:
- Able to sit for long periods of time
- Lift up to 30 pounds
- Formal office environment along with Manufacturing floor as necessary
