Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install glass for windows, doors, showers, mirrors, and other glass products
- Assemble and install metal frames, sashes and other materials for glass installation
- Repair or replace broken glass or mirrors, doors, and windows
- Install weather stripping or caulking around windows or doors to improve energy efficiency
- Frame new construction windows and doors
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate tools and equipment
- Communicate efficiently and affectively with clients as well as other staff
- Hand in all expense receipts to A/P
- Take proper notes and pictures when and where necessary
We are looking for candidates with the following experience. However, we are willing to train the right fit!
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a glazier or in a related field
- Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and installing glass
- Experience with frame carpentry, trim carpentry, door hanging, or related skills
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
