HEAT TREAT FURNACE OPERATOR-CAI- 2nd Shift

TITLE Furnace Operator COMPANY JTEKT Koyo Bearings DEPARTMENT 47 – Heat Treat LOCATION Cairo, Georgia SHIFT 2nd (2p-10pm) CLASSIFICATION Hourly GRADE 07 Summary/Purpose The Furnace Loader will be responsible loading/unloading parts into the furnace. This will be done through the complete adherence of standard work documentation.  Essential Duties and Accountabilities:  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions. • Perform work in a systematic manner to ensure all steps are carried out in proper sequence.  • Enter in cycle recipes into furnace instrumentation. • Operate furnaces, temper ovens and freezer • Must perform as-quench hardness and know the proper procedures in case of power failures • Record production results, traceability logs, and scrap as required.  • Support departmental goals concerning housekeeping, safety, quality, cost, delivery and Standard Work/5s/Lean. • Work in teams to achieve departmental and company goals and objectives. • Perform related tasks as defined by the Department Supervisor. • Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries. • Maintain knowledge of current quality and safety system(s) and other regulatory compliance related to this position.
