What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Floater position at Jubilee School?
Jubilee has an opening for part-time floater who loves teaching, respects the voices and ideas of students, and is willing to learn with and from their students in a project-based environment which focuses on the arts and social justice. Classes are small; there are 10 to 12 students per class. Jubilee students accomplish great things: they are writing their own history textbook, have organized campaigns against gun violence and police brutality, have presented their children's campaign at a United Nations Conference on Small Arms, and have written, illustrated and published their own books. The atmosphere at Jubilee is collaborative, creative and celebratory.
The job involves covering lunch and recess and substituting for teachers when they are absent. We also have openings for after-school teachers, which can be combined with the floater position, or can be a separate job.
