POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position will use equipment to perform tasks related to heavy construction projects, excavations, trenches, and demolition. This position will have knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and uses of various types of heavy equipment including CAT, Komatsu, & John Deere equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Successful candidate will possess skills and knowledge of operating heavy construction equipment.
- Must be able to perform basic maintenance on heavy equipment.
- Must be a motivated and hard worker.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Position is physically demanding
- Must have the ability and knowledge to run power equipment and hand held tools.
- Work in a fast paced environment and possess excellent work ethic.
- Perform daily safety checks and ensure equipment is properly secured.
- Will have at least three years of heavy equipment operation experience.
- Must have the ability to travel on occasion.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This is physical work that requires strength and ability to perform such activities as sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, stooping, reaching, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
- Must be able to lift and carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds over a distance of 20 feet or more.
- Must be able to work in a loud environment.
