Data Management Analyst

Job Summary: As a Data Management Analyst, you will play a crucial role in overseeing, governing, and managing critical data to support business needs, initiatives, and strategies. You'll collaborate with data product teams, ensure data integrity, and work closely with technology and business partners to establish standards, policies, and practices related to data flow, framework, access, documentation, quality, and remediation. This position is specific to contingent resources.
Responsibilities:
- Consult as an expert to develop and influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Data Management.
- Provide strategic guidance on resolving unique challenges, evaluating solutions across multiple areas, and delivering long-term, large-scale outcomes that require vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical thinking.
- Offer expertise to senior leadership, contributing to innovative Data Management business solutions.
- Engage strategically with personnel.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management, demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military service, or education.
- Strong skills in business analysis, requirements gathering, data analysis, and data profiling.
- Familiarity with data lineage/metadata, data controls, and data defect resolution.
- Experience documenting data flows and process flows.
- Proficiency in writing business requirements as JIRA stories.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Strong SQL writing skills (including joins, unions, and sub-queries).
- Understanding of pseudo SQL code.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Teradata.
- Knowledge of process improvements.
