Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Driver to transport individuals to various destinations to participate in community activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing transportation services for individuals requiring assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Duties
- Safely transport individuals to and from appointments, activities, and events
- Communicate effectively with passengers to ensure a comfortable and pleasant journey
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed
- Provide support for recreational therapy outings and event planning
- Demonstrate sensitivity and understanding when dealing with aging issues and counseling related to senior care
Skills
MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
- Experience in transportation
- Knowledge of ADLs and long-term care practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with passengers of varying needs
- Familiarity with recreational therapy and dementia care principles
- Proficiency in computer documentation
