Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
• Support various specialties including General Dentistry, Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry.
• Perform administrative tasks as required, including medical coding and billing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dental assisting or related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures, including but not limited to endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Proficiency in medical documentation practices.
• Experience with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $24.42 - $35.00 per hour
