Description
Provide support to Clinical Informatics Director/Assistant Director
Based on workflow, builds/updates the EMR system and supporting documents from specifications and outlines provided by physicians/clinical staff. Determines a testing plan, along with the training documentation, training and implementation plans
Provides system support to physicians and support staff to include: retraining, problem identification and work flow review. Provides physician training.
Analyzes workflow and determines the best methods for automating the office processes.
Responsible for the testing and implementation plan for all upgrades related to the EHR system. Involved in the development of interfaces for information going in and out of the EHR and assists with the upgrade testing for those interfaced systems.
Maintains the EHR system related to record updates and overall system functionality.
Assists in establishing clinic-wide policies and procedures for monitoring compliance of the system, understanding laws related to an electronic medical record.
Requirements
Two-year degree from an accredited college or university required.
Certifications: Must have and maintain at least three Epic Certifications, one of which must be Epic Ambulatory.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Extensive computer experience.
- Epic EHR or comparable EMR experience required.
- Proficient in use of MS Office tools
- Significant experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to work in a team environment, work under pressure and focus on customer service.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
