JTB is seeking a Development Manager to oversee all aspects of the nonprofit’s fundraising, including annual campaign, individual giving, donor stewardship, cultivation, and marketing efforts. Reporting to the Executive Director, the individual in this role will be able to effectively implement a multi-faceted annual fund and individual giving program by developing relationships that foster and sustain a culture of philanthropy and stewardship across the organization.
KEY RESPONIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, implement, and evaluate JTB's annual fundraising plan to meet and grow its annual targets
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through in-person meetings and written communications; serve as primary contact for donors
- Oversee strategy, preparation, and execution of all philanthropic events
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with JTB’s external partners, secure sponsorships and in-kind support, and manage grant solicitation
- Support the work of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors
- Coordinate efforts with steering committees across JTB’s partner cities to unify programming and support
- Design and implement all fundraising campaign activity including direct mail, email, and social media
- Create the organization’s Annual Plan and annual development materials, marketing materials, and acknowledgment letters
- Execute JTB's ongoing donor communications and stewardship plan, ensuring donors receive regular touchpoints and impact reports
- Support the work of the associate board, participate in committee meetings; prepare reports, materials, and presentations as needed
- Oversee the nonprofit’s CRM database to ensure all donor data is accurate, donations are acknowledged on time; and provide regular reports to leadership
- Engage stakeholders as directed to further existing philanthropic efforts and advance new initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 5 years of experience in nonprofit development with proven success in donor solicitation
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFRE and/or professional affiliations preferred
- Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills
- Team player who collaborates well with lay leaders and colleagues
- Exceptional organizational skills: demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently and confidentially
- Comfortability interacting with donors, members, and staff
- Outstanding communication skills: ability to make compelling presentations and prepare well-written materials
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/Database; experience with Salesforce preferred
- Passion for building relationships and connecting donors to philanthropic causes to accomplish JTB’s goals

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
