What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Support Coordinator position at Justice Resource Institute?
Who we are looking for:
Are you the Case Manager we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with people in the community! JRI’s Housing Options Program provides rental subsidies and housing support services to clients who are directly referred by the Department of Mental Health.
JRI provides the training so that:
- YOU will be able to assist with the case management and case coordination of clinical service delivery.
- YOU will be able to collaborate with client’s housing support services, clinical providers, and medical providers to provide the best support for our clients.
- YOU will support clients by assessing risk and protective factors.
- YOU will guide referrals and create collaborative relationships with the larger community resources.
- YOU will coordinate and facilitate meetings for client care.
- YOU will use your knowledge of the local community resources and develop strong bonds that clients and community members can utilize in getting their needs met.
- YOU will serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team that works together to find the best and most effective methods of guiding and supporting clients and their families.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or High School Diploma with relevant lived experience or equivalent work experience in human services or related field with experience in mental health population and culturally responsive frameworks and treatment modalities.
- Candidates must have familiarity with evidence- based strategies & trauma-informed care.
- Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Candidates must be able to collaborate and work in a team environment.
- Candidates should have exceptional attention to detail with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Candidates must have strong knowledge of ethical and legal considerations.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
