Who We Are Looking For:
Are you the Independent Living Outreach Worker we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with the individuals we serve!
Our Independent Living (IL) Program houses young men and women from 18-24 years old in small efficiency-type apartments or shared-living housing throughout the Metro, Boston, Central, Northeast and Southeast DCF regions (not including the Cape and the islands). The Independent Living program provides 2-6 hours of in-person outreach services per week, as well as access to additional wrap-around services. Our program is designed to prepare youth too take full financial responsibility for themselves and our goal is to support them as they become successful, productive community members.
This position requires travel in the Waltham, Worcester and Lowell areas.
Salary: Starting at $23/hour

Requirements:
- Experience with older at-risk youth and young adults (17-23 y.o.).
- BA/BS is preferred, with a preference for degrees in in social services or related fields.
- 32-40 hours per week with occasional nights and weekends ensuring all youth needs are met.
- Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license and daily use of your reliable automobile are required.
- Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats.
- Acceptable computer skills and strong financial literacy skills are required.
- Knowledge of the state DMH and DCF systems is preferred.
