What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Driver position at K&N Engineering Inc?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Ensure shipments are completed in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist timely accurate loading and unloading of freight, inbound and outbound.
- Maintain the integrity of products through proper handling and storage.
- Maintain accurate inventories.
- Ensure safe operation of forklifts.
- Follow direction from supervisor, lead or team members.
- Ensure facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeping product and facility secure, and maintaining the assets of the facility.
- Assist other work areas whenever needed, internal and external.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Skills & Education:
- Standing for 8 – 10 hours a day.
- Basic math skills and problem-solving skills.
- Multi-tasking.
- Able to follow instructions.
- High regard to quality and accuracy.
- High regard to housekeeping.
- Team player with organizational skills.
- Ability to lift or move products up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to drive forklift/hand truck and maintain certification(s).
- Must be able to interact with internal and external counterparts.
- Basic computer knowledge and machine interface.
- Work up to 8 hours in a non-climate-controlled environment.
