Seeking a skilled Data Governance Specialist with proven expertise in implementing Microsoft Purview to lead enterprise-level data governance initiatives within the investment banking sector. This role requires a deep understanding of data governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and data quality management, with a strong focus on hands-on Purview implementation and integration.

Seeking a skilled Data Governance Specialist with proven expertise in implementing Microsoft Purview to lead enterprise-level data governance initiatives within the investment banking sector. This role requires a deep understanding of data governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and data quality management, with a strong focus on hands-on Purview implementation and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Purview for enterprise data governance.
- Design and deploy data governance frameworks tailored to the investment banking environment.
- Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and business stakeholders to define metadata, data lineage, and data quality standards.
- Integrate Microsoft Purview with Azure Data Services, Power BI, and other enterprise platforms.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and financial industry regulations.
- Provide training and support on Purview capabilities and best practices.
- Work onsite at the client's New York City office three days per week.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Purview implementation in complex enterprise environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of investment banking data domains and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in data cataloging, classification, lineage, data quality, and policy enforcement.
- Familiarity with AI/ML data integration and governance best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience with at least one full-scale Microsoft Purview implementation.
- Proficiency with Azure Data Services, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Understanding of data privacy laws and risk management in financial services.
- Experience working in hybrid environments with cross-functional teams.
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- Certifications in Data Governance, AI, or Azure
