As the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Leadership Team, you play a vital role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our Leadership Team. Your primary objective will be to provide unwavering support to our CEO and leadership team, enabling them the freedom to focus on strategic initiatives while you expertly manage the day-to-day intricacies of their roles. The ideal candidate is a proactive, resourceful, and impeccably organized individual driven by a commitment and passion to enhance organizational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Independently and with a high degree of judgment, support the CEO in maximizing his impact and effectiveness across all aspects of the business.
- Develop a deep understanding of the CEO and Leadership Team's needs, proactively anticipate requirements, and provide valuable suggestions to facilitate smooth transitions and enhance effectiveness.
- Manage the logistical aspects of the CEO's daily schedule and responsibilities, ensuring seamless coordination of his activities.
- Gather and organize essential information in advance of meetings, ensuring that critical data reaches the CEO promptly and keeps him informed of time-sensitive and high-priority matters.
- Track and oversee deliverables agreed upon in Leadership Team meetings to ensure timely execution.
- Understand various business functions and use judgment to proactively handle tasks on behalf of the CEO and Leadership Team and provide cross-functional support.
- Apply a high degree of independent judgment and discretion to manage the CEO’s complex calendar and decide on priorities to ensure effective use of the CEO’s time.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating communication, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating leadership in interactions with various parties.
- Engage directly with clients, partners, vendors, consultants, board members, and internal stakeholders on behalf of the CEO, ensuring smooth communication and acting as a trusted confidante.
- Research, prioritize, and follow up on issues and concerns addressed to executives, determining appropriate courses of action and responses, especially those of a sensitive or confidential nature.
- Coordinate and execute high-level meetings, both within and outside the organization.
- Represent the CEO at meetings, recording and summarizing minutes as needed.
- Maintains and protects highly confidential corporate information.
- Effectively prioritize conflicting needs, address matters expeditiously, proactively follow through, and ensure successful task completion.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the CEO and Leadership Team.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
- 3 years of experience supporting a senior executive or team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail)
- An aptitude for learning new software and systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to the company and its employees
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
- Highly motivated, self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative and make sound decisions with minimal supervision or direction
Location: This role is hybrid-remote. Candidates should live within a commutable driving distance to our Herndon, Virginia headquarters. This role will be required to work in-office a minimum of two days per week. While much of our company works remotely, in 2023 we are emphasizing a minimum of two days per week in office for some roles to support professional development plans and ensure team members succeed in their new role. This role will require up to 15% travel.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST

The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 / year with the opportunity to earn additional compensation pursuant with K12 Insight’s corporate bonus plan. The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position, and is subject to change. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and skills, market demands, internal parity and organizational needs.
