Kadon Aerospace, a leading aerospace manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our aerospace products throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality specifications.
- Utilize various measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, to perform accurate measurements and verifications of product dimensions.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects, surface irregularities, or deviations from design specifications.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure adherence to requirements.
- Document inspection results, non-conformities, and other quality-related data accurately and promptly using computerized systems or other designated tools.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and address root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Participate in internal and external audits, inspections, and customer visits to represent the company's quality standards.
- Assist in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and inspection techniques.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to aerospace manufacturing quality.
Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the USA.
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of dimensional inspection techniques and the use of measurement tools.
- Familiarity with common inspection methods and equipment, including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues or non-conformities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply root cause analysis methodologies.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present inspection results clearly.
- Familiarity with computerized quality management systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
