We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Truck Maintenance Shop Assistant. This is an entry-level position with growth potential for the right candidate. The role supports the daily operations of our truck maintenance shop by performing essential tasks such as changing tires, washing vehicles, cleaning the shop, and running for parts. It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fleet maintenance and grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with tire changes and rotations on company vehicles
- Wash and detail trucks and equipment to maintain a professional appearance
- Clean and organize the maintenance shop, tools, and yard
- Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and supplies as needed
- Support mechanics with basic tasks and shop upkeep
- Perform light vehicle checks (e.g., fluid levels, lights, tire pressure)
- Properly dispose of waste materials in compliance with safety guidelines
- Keep records or logs of tasks when required
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work indoors and outdoors
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- No prior experience necessary—mechanical aptitude or interest in vehicle maintenance is a plus
