JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: HVAC Lead Installer
DEPARTMENT: Retrofit Construction
REPORTS TO: Retrofit Superintendent
HVAC Lead Installer will lead a crew in installation of all types of HVAC equipment including replacement of existing, remodel, and new installations. In addition, installation and modification of duct systems, piping systems, control wiring, and other HVAC related components. You will work closely with the Retrofit Mechanic IV and Retrofit Superintendent to understand the scope and direction of each HVAC commercial project.
You will…
Work hands on with your crew of up to 3-7 employees and LMA (Lead, manage, and hold accountable)
Oversee multiple projects using the 1-wk Planner to keep projects on schedule
Work off contract drawings, comprehending design intent and insuring accurate installations
Be responsible for scheduling manpower and monitoring labor flow
Assist in the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades
Watch for safety issues and enforce safety protocol
Review and coach team members on JHA’s/Daily Reports
Locate and identify any engineering or design deficiencies
Be accountable for outcomes
Fill out company daily logs, material requests, and forecast job needs
Be responsible for ordering material and material planning
Be responsible for quality control of workforce
Attend site meetings and coordinate site logistics
Lead startup planning
Interfacing with clients and end users
You have…
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Texas Driver’s License and clean driving history
No felony convictions
Clean background check and drug screen
Ability to read, write, and understand English
5 years of proven industry experience
OSHA 10 certification
First Aid / AED certification
EPA Certification
Other Certifications: Brazing, Man-lift systems, Forklift, Rigging/Signaling, Pro press, Pex piping
