Kailee Mills Foundation seeks a full-time Marketing & Events Manager to create and enhance the organization’s messaging to fulfill its mission, both digitally and through in-person events. This includes engaging with the community, partners, and donors, effective marketing campaigns, content creation, online fundraising campaigns, in-person fundraising events, and communication through social media, email, website, as well as press and media.  The Marketing & Events Manager will create, disseminate, and manage content and communication that effectively represents the organization and its programs, with the purpose of fulfilling the mission, expanding reach, and continued growth.

 

This position is full-time and reports to the Executive Director.

 

Responsibilities

●    Work collaboratively with the Program, Development, and Media teams to create and design effective seat belt safety awareness campaigns; manage the implementation and dissemination of the campaigns through partnerships/collaborations, social media, website, email, press and media outlets.

●    Build relationships with other businesses and safety organizations to collaborate on safety campaigns and initiatives.

●    Creation, design, and communication of content and messaging for the purpose of sharing and fulfilling the mission and continued growth for the organization and its programs (digital, print, press/media).

●    Manage social media, email, website, donor software, and other communication platforms; build a strong social community, seeking mission fulfillment and growth; build relationships with people who engage through these channels seeking conversion to donors, volunteers, partners.

●    Build KMF’s presence in press and media (news/radio/tv); Explore marketing opportunities to expand KMF’s reach.

●    Work collaboratively with the Development department to create and disseminate effective fundraising campaigns; Assist with retaining or securing interested donors.

●    Design and develop all digital and print materials for program and fundraising events; organization, preparation, and coordination of fundraising events in collaboration with the Development department.

●    Work with the Executive Director and website designer to ensure the website is effectively communicating and representing the organization, its mission, programs, and purposes.

●    Assist with content creation for safety presentations for schools, businesses, and press and media for consistent and effective branding and messaging.

●    Build and maintain content and communication schedules/calendars; Track and report results to determine growth, trends, and success.

●    Working with volunteers; getting volunteer signups, some volunteer training, and leading volunteers at events.

●    Other tasks that may be requested to support the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

●    Strong teamwork; collaborates well with others; Positive Attitude and Environment

●    Willingness to adapt and accept unfamiliar tasks

●    Passionate about wanting to make a difference and the KMF mission

●    Demonstrates KMF values: faith, compassion, community, hope, and healing

●    Ability to operate in a flexible and fast-paced environment

●    Self-starter, strong work ethic, and ability to work autonomously

●    5 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or public relations preferred

●    3 years of social media management experience for an organization

●    2 years of nonprofit industry experience

●    2 years of nonprofit fundraising

●    Demonstrates excellence in communications - written and verbal; strong interpersonal skills.

●    Experience working with press and media (news/radio/tv); preparing press releases and media advisories

●    Strong public speaking abilities

●    Experience in management and leadership

●    Strong organizational skills, as well as documentation, and reporting

●    Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and WordPress

●    Reasonable availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required, as well as attend in-person activities and events and travel on occasion.

●    Must ALWAYS wear your seat belt, front seat and back seat, and ensure your passengers are too.
