The role
A Shop Crew Member is an entry-level part-time employee who will work in the shop initially receiving orders from customers and managing the cash register, then graduating on to creating the shave ice product itself. This is a crucial role for our organization’s success and we are looking for applicants with a positive attitude, a sense for hospitality and interest in the food service industry. Those who do well can expect to be promoted to shop manager and potentially regional managers as the company grows. We are flexible on days worked and are happy to find the right schedule to fit your work-life balance.
Key responsibilities
- Receiving customer orders and managing the cash register
- Operating the shave ice machine to create our shave ice product
- Cleaning and maintenance of the shop and cleaning glassware
- Thinking on your feet to solve any issues or questions a customer may have
- Thinking creatively to help us improve our workflows and customer experience
- Opening the shop and closing up at the end of each workday
- Working well alongside other co-workers
Job details
- Part-time: 3 days a week (Mon / Wed / Fri) with the possibility of additional days if desired
- Hours: 11:45 am to 5:00 pm, with the possibility of coming in early to make syrups also
- Location: Haleiwa, HI
- Salary: $16 per hour tips
Skills and experience required
- Positive mental attitude, team player, sense for hospitality and workplace initiative
- Eagerness to learn the business and operate our shave ice machines
- Prior work experience not required
