Description: The Psychiatric Social Worker is an essential member of our interdisciplinary team. They provide direct assessment, diagnosis formulation, treatment planning, treatment intervention and psycho-education to members and/or family members. A strong foundation in psychopathology is crucial for timely clinical treatment interventions.

- Selecting the most suitable treatment modality for each member's presenting issue.
- Effective communication of clinical information to members and clinical staff.
- Providing exceptional customer/patient satisfaction and maintaining high internal and external standards.
- Demonstrating expertise in various treatment methodologies.
- Accurate and timely documentation of clinical encounters in member charts.
- Familiarity with KP and community resources.
- Adherence to mandated guidelines for patient care and licensure requirements.
- Maintaining professional licensure.
- Conducting initial interviews with members, interpreting their psychological and social complaints, and determining the urgency of their needs.
- Providing guidance and therapy in crisis situations or for those requiring immediate clinical services.
- Maintaining detailed records of therapy sessions, preparing reports, and communicating with relevant social agencies, schools, relatives, and friends.
- Clinical consultation regarding family interactions, sociocultural determinants, and community resources within an integrated healthcare environment.
