What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Supervisor position at Kalamazoo Probation Enhancement Program?
We are seeking a clinical supervisor interested in a rewarding career working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system. The ideal candidate would have the ability to set firm boundaries while also creating a therapeutic alliance, and possess or are open to learning the unique dynamics associated with substance use disorders, sexual offending behaviors and entrenched criminal thinking. Experience with clinical supervision, assessments and group and individual session facilitation is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision to assigned staff
- Conduct assessments/intakes
- Train new staff members
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
- Generate monthly reports
- Maintain client records in accordance with standards and procedures identified in KPEP standards of practice
- Provide advocacy and referral services when appropriate
- Abide by all legal requirements for confidentiality and ethical standards
- Provide recovery based, person-centered and culturally competent practices
- Additional duties assigned by the Vice President of Treatment Services
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in counseling, social work or the helping profession.
- Limited or full professional license
- MCBAP credential or MCBAP professional development plan within one month of hire.
- Experience working with criminal population (preferred)
