Job Description: This position is responsible for the day to day supervision of the department. Coordinates a variety of functions in the Emergency Department (ED) related to patient admissions and registration. Initiates and facilitates communication between site ED and site departments on matters related to Patient Access to provide quality patient services.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma required, Associates degree preferred in Business or related field. Knowledge of medical terminology, third party payer requirements. Able to prioritize needs and effectively manage resources. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse patient and employee populations. Ability to professionally, confidently and independently handle a wide variety of labor issues on a daily basis. Three years related work experience. Experience in health care, patient access, billing and insurance preferred. Familiarity and experience with Admissions and an Emergency Department. Demonstrated proficiency in Office applications and other Kaleida Health systems.
