Kaleidoscope Innovation, an Infosys company, is expanding our Prototyping Shop. This role is all first shift, looking for someone with prior programming and manual machining experience.
JOB SUMMARY
The CNC (Computer Numerical Controls) Prototype Machinist Programmer is responsible for creating machine parts and tools using precision computer equipment, creating instructions for the parts they are manufacturing and inspecting the finished product to ensure all specifications are met.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Mechanical drafting experience using AutoCAD/SolidWorks
- 5-10 years related experience
Licenses/Credentials/Certifications
- N/A
Skills/Specialized Knowledge/Abilities
- Proficient knowledge of 3D CAD Modeling software (visualization, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, etc.)
- Understanding of the operations of drills, lathes and milling equipment
- Understanding of safety regulations regarding all CNC equipment
- Extensive familiarity with machines’ parts and internal processes
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
WORKING CONDITIONS
Tools and Equipment Used
- Computer workstation, typical office equipment, CNC equipment and machines as well as various hand tools (gauges, calipers, micrometers, scales, indicators, etc.)
Travel
- Minimal up to 10% of the time

- Ability to talk or hear
- Willing to maintain strict adherence to safety and environmental rules and regulations
- Willing to wear personal protective safety equipment
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Willing to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy environment around moving equipment and machinery
- Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (standing, lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, grabbing)
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Willing to work overtime, as needed
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability adjust focus
