About the Role - A senior IT implementation project consultant is needed for our high-performance team working with technology and life science companies in the Bay Area. The position is full-time in our San Jose office, and the candidate will visit local customer sites. The candidate will be the technical lead in designing and delivering cutting-edge projects. The candidate must keep up to date with new technologies. The candidate must also develop a valued identity with our dynamic customer base. The candidate must love the challenge of working in different IT environments daily! This position emphasizes Okta, networking, and cloud implementation skills. You are a proactive technical expert who collaborates with customers to define and implement complex solutions with minimal guidance and oversight. You've been there, done that - not just managed systems that others have implemented. Senior management who own client relationships will help guide and orient you to the client environment, and other KalioTek consultants can assist in execution when needed, but you have the technical and consulting skills to make the projects successful. You will have ongoing roles to help clients support and manage the solutions after implementation, becoming a valued extension of their teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate project scope and execution (maximize benefits and minimize impact on customers during the projects).
- Consult with client management and technical staff to validate and plan solutions.
- Perform troubleshooting as required. As such, lead problem-solving efforts often involve outside vendors and other support organizations.
- Ensure high availability and acceptable performance levels of mission-critical systems and applications.
- Manage and maintain network monitoring systems and work with the NOC team on tuning alerts and escalation processes.
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support for any IT issues that may arise.
- Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current system.
- Manage / develop scripts to automate repeatable IT maintenance tasks.
- Organize and document system states, configuration, inventories, processes, and procedures
