About the Role:

At Kalmbach Feeds, the Trucking Service Center Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our truck maintenance shop. The successful candidate in this position will schedule, train, and develop our team of mechanics and technicians. The selected individual will also ensure a high level of customer service for all customers (drivers) both internal and external. Experience in heavy diesel engine diagnosis and repair, as well as supervisory experience will be utilized in this opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Schedule service work via assessing asset out of service line, creation of a priority work list, assigning daily mechanic duties, creating and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules
- Provide excellent customer service to the Kalmbach Team of Drivers by addressing concerns and communicating equipment repairs made in a timely manner
- Responsible for maintaining spare truck list, DOT EE records, fuel station, Kalmbach Truck Wash, equipment, tools, and CMMS
- Evaluate and assign Road Service Calls
- Effectively communicate shift handoff responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with repair evaluation and give direction and/or assistance when/as needed
- Asses drive in work to include Kalmbach Trucking owned equipment as well as contract carrier equipment
The Right Candidate:
- 5 plus years of heavy diesel engine diagnosis and repair
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Asset Essentials
- Strong leadership skills; ability to set direction and execute on defined goals
- Basic knowledge and comfort level working with computers and in Microsoft Excel
- Exemplary communication skills; verbal and written
