Title: Revenue Manager
Reports To: Sales & Marketing Strategy Director / VP of Operations & Sales
SUMMARY:
The Revenue Manager provides support, resources, and guidance to the West Coast Region for assigned hotels to assist in revenue maximization efforts. Lead, support, and clearly communicate goals and expectations that embody Kalyan Hospitality’s management and service culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
It is assumed that all functions listed below are applicable to all hotels that the manager has been assigned.
The Revenue Manager works closely with the Sales & Marketing Strategy Director to execute the following tasks:
- Facilitate and lead daily communication for revenue, weekly yield, and monthly revenue reviews with measurable outputs
- Responsible for hosting weekly revenue meetings and leading group quotations and conduct revenue analysis strategies while providing key data reporting or workbooks.
- Maximize rooms revenue efforts to ensure profitability and growth versus prior year, competitive set, and budget goals.
- Set & update rate strategy per market segment on 12 months rolling basis and rolling inventory.
- Steward the monitoring of segmentation mix, to produce the most successful mix to maximize average rate.
- Strategically assist to maximize both transient and group inventory management and pricing strategies in partnership with the hotel teams.
- Monitor and analyze the competition daily and weekly through intelligent shops and revenue tools to identify selling strategies and market trends.
- Responsible for accurate forecast, trend analysis and sales strategies so that product availability and price are always maximized
- Manage inventory through proper management of CRS, Internet point of sale, PMS, and all other distribution channels
- Ensure that the various tools are managed in accordance to company best practice.
- Maximize systems reports to full effectiveness
- Utilize rate comparison reports to identify and react to pricing opportunities within the hotels competitive sets
- Assist in developing revenue strategies, pricing, and strategy positions for hotels in conjunction with Kalyan’s annual goals.
- In charge of producing month end reports with strong emphasis on past, current and future performance analysis as well as action planning
- Report out critical analysis on the effect of short- and long-range decisions effecting overall revenue goals such as forecasts, budget, and strategic plans to team leaders and corporate teams.
- Assist in implementation of sellout strategies in partnership with properties and maintain demand information
- Demonstrate an understanding of market conditions, industry trends, and the competition
- Maintain the information on the market up to date for complete or partial opening / refurbishment / out of order rooms / closing of hotels (Accor, competition…)
- Responsible for all brand revenue related changes, programs, or specific brand wide program roll outs.
