Dental Assistant

Kaminski Dental Center is looking to hire a Full Time Dental Assistant.

Requirements:
Must have Dental Assisting License or ability to obtain it upon hire.

• Must have good communication skills, be comfortable working with the public and have a high "touch" with patients.
• Must be comfortable using instruments, be proficient in basic dental procedures (mouth cleaning, X-rays and instruments).
• Must be comfortable working with a variety of client types, including patients from all walks of life.
• Job requires standing, lifting (up to 40 lbs), bending, and walking for long periods of time.
• Job may also require the use of an instrumentist.

Responsibilities:
Greet and introduce patients to the practice and their cases to the dentist and/or medical provider.

• Prepare patients for their appointments ensuring they are comfortable with regard to teeth cleaning, checking their teeth for signs of disease (e.g., crowns, root canals etc.), nutritional support, medication and nutrition support if necessary, dental assisting help from the dentist or office manager if needed, all while keeping the patient comfortable.
• Assess patients' needs and work effectively with them in terms of information delivery, answering questions, taking notes etc. in order to support them in achieving their health goals (e.g., socialise with them during appointments). This includes taking notes during the patient's talk with the dentist or office manager if the patient is unable to speak English (in our practice we provide X-rays in multiple languages).

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
