The Temecula/Vail Lake KOA is an outdoor campground destination looking for enthusiastic people to join our recreation team. Located in beautiful Southern California among a grove of oak trees, we are a year-round park offering camping close to the Temecula wine country, beautiful Vail Lake, and miles of mountain bike, horse, and hiking trails. Our goal is to create a great camping experience for our guests by offering excellent customer service. The main focus of our recreation staff is to execute family friendly events for the enjoyment of our guests. This can range from large scale events during our our Halloween Haunt and Holidays in the Park event weekends October - December, to weekly activities such as arts & crafts, mini golf rentals and scavenger hunts! Please see below for specific job duties:
• Ensures customers receive a high level of service consistent with our customer service philosophy
• Leads and participates in scheduled events and activities which may include athletic, craft, social, and instructional activities
• Responds to inquiries from camping guests
• Coordinates with all staff to help resolve guest complaints
• Verifies the reconciliation of payments of cash or credit cards
• Efficiently participates in set-up and break down equipment for guest activities
• Performs basic maintenance and cleaning of recreation elements, as needed
• Facilitate miniature golf rentals
• Help to coordinate the maintenance of all equipment used for recreational activities
• Operate various types of standard office equipment, including a personal computer and related software
• Participate in team training sessions
• Other duties as assigned by manager to ensure the the successful operating of the Temecula KOA
Requirements
• Good customer service and communications skills
• Enjoy working with youth and families of all ages
• Able to work with others and work independently
• Professional Appearance and attitude towards guests and fellow team members
• Communicate professionally and patiently
• Be on your feet during shift and able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual a plus
• Enthusiasm and knowledge in the following areas is highly desirable; sports, arts, and music
The working hours for this position will be mainly evenings, Thursday - Sunday with a starting pay rate of $15.50/hour. Successful candidates can expect to work approximately 15-25 hours each weekend depending on the occupancy of the campground.
