Lead exceptional research, analysis, and diligence processes for evaluating new investment opportunities. This role works across the investment process with a focus on finding and synthesizing primary data sources for industry research and market maps;
flawlessly executing financial modelling and complex analysis; and assisting in driving various diligence and financing workstreams forward.
Outcomes :
- Generate new investment ideas
- Review 150 investment opportunities per year and recommend where to spend time
- Analyze, research, and diligence new investment opportunities by leading market and financial / company diligence and assisting in financing process and 3rd party diligence
- Market diligence : bottoms up market build and evaluate growth, drivers, value chain, profit pools, base rates, and competitive landscape
- Financial / company diligence : keen understanding of business quality and moat; conduct flawless financial and business analysis (e.
- g. unit economics); excel in financial modeling and other complex analysis; synthesize large amounts of data into critical insights;
demonstrates pride in work product and extreme attention to detail; fluent in various valuation methodologies; curiosity to get to next level
- Financing : analyze various financing alternatives
- 3rd Parties : manage 3rd parties; assess and mitigate diligence findings
- Seller : able to connect with management team; lead conversations; present in external situations; present information in a clear and concise manner
