JOB TITLE: Deferred Prosecution Case Manager Salary: $40,000 / Year
FLSA: Non-Exempt 35 Hours / Week
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing caseload of first-time offenders charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB TITLE: Deferred Prosecution Case Manager
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Interview program applicants, conduct background checks, contact police and victims regarding the application.
2. Staff files with State’s Attorney and prepare court paperwork for entry.
3. Monitor active participants making sure they are compliant with monthly reports, payments, community service, counseling, employment, and education.
4. Conduct monthly audits of database and send contact/violation letters accordingly.
5. Enter all drug tests, send drug test violation letters, prepare violations, and schedule and conduct DT violation appointments.
6. Send end-letters, run leads, and prepare dismiss orders for end-dates.
7. Pull and review files for weekly court calls.
8. Appear in court on participant start dates and end dates, seek status dates on active files, or discharge participants from the program.
9. Network with numerous community organizations to ensure applicant’s compliance with the terms of the Program. This includes verifying substance abuse treatment, domestic violence counseling, employment and education.
10. Maintain Community Relations, speaking at various organizations, recruiting potential volunteers to serve on Review Boards, and educating the community of the role of the State’s Attorney’s Office and the Deferred Prosecution Program.
11. Provide Director with monthly statistical reports relevant to caseload progress.
12. Comply with all others duties as assigned.

4. Bachelor’s Degree and preferable work experience in Social Work or Criminal Justice field.
