Is responsible for partnering with area businesses and corporations to provide customized training to their employees in order to expand their skills and knowledge.
A. Develops and promotes customized manufacturing, electrical, safety and technology training programs for area business and industry.
B. Serves as the college’s liaison for area manufacturing, electrical, safety, and technology training.
C. Prepares curriculum, reviews course and training objectives, and provides instructional materials for all courses taught.
D. Collaborates with management to evaluate the company’s training requirements.
E. Serves as a mentor and a support to employees as they complete the company’s training requirements.
F. Conducts an analysis to identify the training areas needed for improvement.
G. Adheres to the training budget.
H. Evaluates trainees’ performance and progress, maintains attendance and records for classes, provides pre and posttests, course evaluations, and submits paperwork following completion of courses.
I. Local, domestic, and international travel will be required.
A. Associate degree or appropriate work experience required; bachelor's degree preferred.
B. Extraordinary public speaking and presentation skills required
C. Excellent time management and organizational abilities required.
D. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required.
E. Proven experience providing training in manufacturing and or electrical engineering required along with a good understanding of teaching methodologies and tools preferred.
F. Knowledge of and experience working with lithium batteries and welding preferred; OSHA Safety certified preferred.
G. Experience with an e-learning software (such as Teams, Webex and/or Zoom) preferred.
H. Ability to respect and understand different perspectives and cultures preferred.
