A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE PARENT ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
As our Parent Engagement Coordinator, you facilitate growth and healing for people touched by abuse, neglect, or trauma. In this human services role, your compassion and patience serve you well as you help rebuild and repair relationships between parents and their children. In coordination with a volunteer facilitator, you host ongoing support groups both virtually and in person.
Additionally, you are responsible for marketing the support groups and spreading the word about our programs. You achieve this through distributing flyers, contacting area agencies, and giving presentations about the benefits of these groups. To help ensure the quality of our social work programs, you also provide initial training for sponsors and facilitators. You take great pride in helping our human services organization repair familial relationships and improve the lives of others!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PARENT ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
- Experience working with the public
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- A heart for working with parents
