The Door Shop Associate- Hardware technician is a position responsible for assisting in the installation, managing, keying, and servicing of hardware in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of the window and door industry, and the ability to effectively build relationships with customers and the Company. You will unload, stage, and manage hardware prior to the beginning work and work with the Operations Manager to determine work to be done.
Essential Functions:
- Pull hardware according to staging list produced by the supervisor, with attention to detail.
- Read a tape measure accurately and effectively.
- Strive to achieve performance measures and established goals and action plans, through measured performance data.
- Comprehend and maintain current and changing technical and product knowledge.
- Keep supervisor or management informed of any unusual matters of significance.
- Key and service hardware
- Package and label job lots
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Adhere to safety specifications.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
