Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates, determines, and drives program management activities to manage one or more moderately complex program or portfolio
- Provides knowledgeable input to review and drive execution of innovative solutions to technical issues
- Applies program management and financial standard to the development of cost and schedule framework for projects and program elements
- Provides assistance in the financial planning, monitoring, scheduling, preparation, and release of technical/schedule information required for program/project planning
- May assists in establishment and oversight of production/project definitions, maintenance of schedules, and engineering releases associated with weapon or reimbursable programs
- Performs some technical, administrative, and logistical liaison roles with company, design agencies, laboratories, integrated contractors for a program or portfolio
- Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with other internal business units and external customers
- Guides and mentors lower-level Associate Program Managers
- Bachelors Degree required
- 2 years of relevant experience in engineering, business, or program management
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
- Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering
- Ability to integrate concepts and information with program management systems and processes
- Ability to provide project management guidance, consultative services, and innovative solutions
- Working knowledge of business concepts principles associated with project cost and forecasting
- Effective communication, interactive and presentation skills
- Established knowledge of customers, products, technologies, processes and PMI certification preferred
